Description
Hufflepuff is one of the four houses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter series, written by J.K. Rowling. The house was founded by Helga Hufflepuff and values hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members. The house emblematic animal is the badger, and its colors are yellow and black.
Hufflepuff’s common room is near the Hogwarts kitchens, leading to a lot of interaction with house-elves and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The head of Hufflepuff during the Harry Potter series is Professor Pomona Sprout, who is also the head of the Herbology department.
Notable Hufflepuff characters from the series include Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks. Hufflepuff is often associated with traits such as kindness, humility, and a strong sense of community.
